Short-term results with the Synchrony lens implant for correction of presbyopia following cataract surgery

METHOD: Prospective, non-comparative study of 18 patients (36 eyes) in whom a Synchrony® dual-optic lens was implanted bilaterally following cataract surgery. All patients were studied preoperatively, and 1, 3 and 6 months postoperatively. The following measurements were taken: Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) and best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) for distance, intermediate and near vision, and the objective amplitude of accommodation using the OQASTM system.
